José B. López, in spite of the completed studies as an Architect, most of my professional life has revolved around the oil industry. I am specialized in High Management and Social Responsibility. Throughout the years, I have held several positions in CEPE, Petroecuador, Santa Fé Energy Oil Company, UB 15 and Petroamazonas. Such positions ranged from Superintendent of Environmental Protection, Superintendent of Community Relations, and finally, Manager of Social Responsibility and Community Relations. This last position was held for ten years in Petroamazonas.

Acknowledging a vast experience in the Hydrocarbon Industry, with thirty five years in the field, my familiarity and skills regarding social management is indisputable. Throughout my career, I have developed several projects of social responsibility and social relations for oil and hydrocarbon extraction schemes; planned for short-term, medium-term, and long-term. All of these projects considered sustainability as an important factor along with social responsibility, since there must a healthy and transparent dialogue between communities, estate, and industries in order to ensure success. Such environment of trust is key to craft a beneficial coexistence climate between all of the parties involved.

My last international representation was held in 2015 as of the Vice-presidents of ARPEL in the Social Responsibility Committee. ARPEL is a regional Latin-American association of oil and natural gas companies.
